  1. 1957

    Mr. Mehmet Altınkılıç, the founder of our company, began to carry out the cheese trade activities thereof at a workplace with an area of 17 m2 in Unkapanı district of Istanbul province in 1976 after starting to work as an apprentice in the sector in 1957 in an outstanding company of Turkey.

  2. 1980

    Our founder continued cheese trade activities following the participation of his sons Mr. Kemal Altınkılıç and Mr. Mehmet Ali Altınkılıç in 1980 until the year of 1991.

  3. 1991

    Altınkılıç family, having established a feta (white) cheese production facility in Ezine district of Çanakkale province in 1991, decided to make investments in the field of aged kashar cheese production in addition to their ongoing production of white cheese.

  4. 1999

    Altınkılıç family purchased the facility of a company in Gömeç district of Balıkesir province in 1999 and commenced the production of aged kashar cheese.

  5. 2001

    Our company, Altınkılıç, starting R & D activities in 2001, with an eye to add new products to the product range thereof in order to keep pace with the developing retail sector in Turkey, achieved to produce kefir (kephir), a historical Turkish drink, by virtue of conventional methods as a result of R & D works carried out with the leading universities of Turkey including primarily Ege University.

  6. 2002

    Kefir production began in 2002, by converting the cheese production facility in Ezine district into a modern facility. Kefir began to be sold on market shelves in the year of 2004. Our company continues to maintain its leader position in the kefir market by adding fruit kefir group to its product range in addition to plain kefir which can be consumed through every age group.

  7. 2013

    Our company, Altınkılıç, striving to produce healthy products like kefir drink group produced in 2013in our country, has  started the production of “Kefir Yoghurt” as a result of carrying out R & D works with Ege University and making the necessary investments for the process in early 2015 as a result of R & D works carried out.

  8. 2015

    The new product is planned to be presented to our esteemed consumers by the end of 2015.

  9. 2017

    Our company, Altınkılıç, has always planned the investments thereof on healthy products since the inception thereof and will continue its operations with the same approach henceforth.

Mr. Mehmet Altınkılıç, the founder of our company Altınkılıç Süt Ürünleri (Altınkılıç Milk Products ), came to Istanbul from Anatolia in the year of 1957. His life, dedicated to cheese production in the Istanbul market, changed significantly in 1976 subsequent to establishing his own business. His wholesale works, carried out at a workplace with an area of 20 m2 in Unkapanı district of Istanbul province, developed rapidly. He presented selected feta (white) cheese varieties of Thrace and Balıkesir regions including especially Ezine feta cheese variety to the market.

Altınkılıç Gıda ve Süt San. Tic A.Ş. was established in 1991 with an approach of branding.

The production which began in Ezine district which is one of Turkey’s most fertile lands in a total area of 20,000 m2 of land with a covered area of 6000 m2 formed the basis of Altınkılıç products.

Our company, Altınkılıç, resolved to expand the product range thereof by virtue of value-added products in addition to  cheese varieties Ezine Cheese, Classic Cheese, Sheep Cheese and İzmir tulum cheese (bryndza) upon the success achieved  by these products.

Researches on climate and production conditions were carried out with the target producing the best quality aged kashar cheese of Turkey. The Aged Kashar Cheese Production Facility began to be operated in Karaağaç region of Balıkesir province in a total area of 4.800 m2 of land with a covered area of 3000 m2 upon the researches made in 1996.

Our company, Altınkılıç, targeting to catch up with the times in line with the growing retail sector in 2001, commenced to conduct common studies in cooperation with most leading universities of Turkey , including primarily the Ege University and began to produce nutritive milk products. The most natural and healthy product, namely Altınkılıç Kefir, was presented in the shelves of supermarkets thanks to this vision…

Kefir began to be sold on the market shelves in 2004. Our company continues its leadership in the kefir market with the fruit kefir group, which every age group can consume, in addition to Plain and Light Kefir products.

Conscious consumption and healthy eating habits, which have developed rapidly, caused Altınkılıç to realize new developments. A product development process with Ege University started as of year 201, for 3 years and Altınkılıç Yogurt with Kefir was produced as a result of these studies.

Altınkılıç brand, distributing the products thereof to more than 20 thousand points in all provinces of Turkey, continues its activities by focusing on consumer confidence.

Our company, Altınkılıç, continuing to produce natural, healthy and unadulterated products with conventional method sin modern facilities since 3 generations, continues to work with the aim of transferring the brand to new generations.
